"We loved the view from our eco friendly and very well appointed self contained place - we could see the sea and were surrounded by trees, flowering plants and birds. We liked being a short walk downhill to the village of Castara with grocery shops, places to eat local food and entertainment. Bars on the beach were very friendly. We loved getting a boat to nearby coves and snorkelling. Paradise for us!"

"The fairly stiff walk back from the village is fine as long as you don't rush. The Castara Retreats Restaurant serves lovely fresh fish caught locally but wine as you might expect is eye wateringly expensive. Try Stag beer instead and even that is twice as expensive as in the village."

"Location is perfect and we had everything we needed. Room has air con in the bedroom where you need it and the balcony is just perfect."

"Nothing for us. You do need to climb some steps to get to it but the view is more than worth it."

"A comfortable bed sitting room. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was good. Lovely balcony overlooking tropical trees with many visiting birds. Fabulous."

"It was a good ten minutes walk up Hull from the beach - not a problem for me. The only real problem was that it was noisy at night with traffic passing and multiple dogs barking. Also, many Cockerells. Bring ear plugs."
