"The happy corner Lodge probably was the best accommodation I had during my solo travel in Gambia. The food was outstanding, especially the chicken :) But the best part was the hospitality and the tour guide of Mbaye. He truly is the most chilled out Gambian guy ever and the tour he fixed to the stone circles and the river was outstanding. We saw hippos, chimps and crocodiles all in 1 day. I truly think that this side of Gambia, so the area surrounding Janjanbureh, is the real Gambia which everyone should see once in their lifetime."

"The hotel is still a work in progress with some construction ongoing but it did not disturb or detract from the stay. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Although there is no internet one of the staff shared use of her hub (that was really nice). The manager was also very friendly and helpful, even took us on a tour of the town. The room was large and spacious and the a/c worked well."
