"The luxury boutique hotel surpassed all of our expectations. The owners Julie & Martin are fabulous hosts. The staff are so friendly. There is a shop to purchase supplies and are the same prices as in the town. You can buy healthy prepared meals and drinks and a great deal of excellent meats & fish to make your own meals. We chose to order their freshly cooked breakfast on the terrace watching the humming birds drink from the bird water feeder. The whole setup is excellent and the accommodation was great with beautiful linens & lovely pillows. The infinity pool is incredible & we chose to stay on the property for our whole stay as it was so wonderful. The guests repeatably book which we intend to too."

"Honestly there is no fault, they have thought of everything & we had a lovely welcome pack too & a lovely bottle of fizz as it was my 60th birthday that week."

"The rooms are quiet,spacious and well appointed with comfortable beds and a lovely outdoor seating areas. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We also enjoyed the restaurant and bar area which have a great ambiance, lovely breezes and views and delicious food."

"This IS the spot to stay on Bequia, literally a few minutes walk from the ferry from St Vincent, on flat ground! (This is a hilly island!) Despite the close proximity to the tiny port, the water in front of the hotel is crystal clear and not too deep, perfect for regular refreshing swims literally a minute away from the room. There are neighbouring restaurants and bars - also on the waterfront which are very practical - only being very low season during our stay we weren’t able to experience as most were closed. This made for a very peaceful, idyllic stay which suited us perfectfully. Thank you Gretel, the manager, for your kindness in upgrading us & offering a late checkout (as availability allowed). Definitely would recommend Gingerbread hotel!"

"Great location! The property is very nice, direct access to the beach. Everything was perfect and clean. I liked the room and the balcony with the sea view. Beds were super comfy. Would I stay again? yes because of the location. It’s a really nice place. If you are looking for daytrips hotel next door has travel agency. Some of the Staff was helpful like the security and Ronisha from reception. Public transportation available outside the hotel mini busses that run downtown."

"The location is perfect, and the views are amazing! The beach next to the hotel is beautiful and peaceful, as it is in a residential area away from the more touristy side of the island. The owner Robert is the nicest! He took care of everything we needed while we were there and helped us with some issues we had, ensuring we had a place to sleep for an extra night we needed. Above and beyond! And he may be a hotel owner, but I believe he is a professional baker - you should try all his cakes at breakfast (almost as great as the views!)"
