"Excellent traditional food - friendly and helpful attitude by management and staff - very pleasant layout and exceptional view on the river and in front of the Lycian tombs across the water. We had planned an ambitious trip through the southern coast and wanted to anticipate the visit to the turtle beach the same afternoon of our arrival; the very nice and flexible hosts arranged a dedicated river transport for us. Pleasant the afternoon tea with in-home delicacies, and superb the feeling of a quiet dinner au bord de l’eau."

"Muy buen desayuno y vistas espectaculares desde el comedor. Ubicado muy cerca del centro comercial, en la misma orilla del río y con vistas a las tumbas licias. La habitación correcta, piscina en la instalación y sin problemas para el aparcamiento del coche. Recomendable."

"El no disponer de ascensor para subir el equipaje a la planta superior, que se hace por una escalera estrecha."

"Everything! Historic, quiet, aristocratic and elegant! Tea time is exceptional! Evren the Front reception manager is extremely efficient. As well as the rest of the staff such as Baran and Elgun. Safe and discreet. Old world charm. You think Agatha Christie will come down the stairs and Hemingway will be at the Orient Bar. Your home away from home."

"Deniz Pansiyon is a centrally located pensione in old Alsancak of Izmir. Convenient to transit, Izrail, and a short walk to the commuter ships. It does not pretend to be a hotel, because it is not a hotel. And, very inexpensive breakfasts are available within 100 meters of Deniz's entrances. But for a budget-conscious traveler (not looking for "hostel" level experience), you can stay reasonably inexpensively and visit area attractions, both within walking distance and through the numerous transit options, without expensive taxi or limousine services. The staff is congenial, and will assist you with the services that you need (mind you, this was my 5th stay at Deniz or its companion, Ad Otel which is a couple blocks away). Clearly, if you truly treasure a more expensive option, choose one of the big hotel chains. But if you want to support a family-owned business, Deniz Pansiyon is a good choice."

"I liked that everything was confirmed via messaging within the booking.com App. Checkin and checkout was quick and easy. Hotel location was very easy to find and 2 minute walk to both Fatih and Shezad Camii and around 15-20 minutes walk to Blue Mosque. Bus and Metro stops very easy to locate by the hotel, as the hotel is just behind the main road it’s nice and quite an yet very easy to go get food and drinks nearly as plenty of choice. Double room was very good, clean and tidy and over our stay was cleaned multiples times. Turkish breakfast daily was good and plenty of tea available within the lobby all day. Ali was a very good host and very helpful throughout 5*"
