The themed Ljmonade hostel includes free WiFi, just 400 metres from the Cascais city centre. The recently-redecorated house features ample room and lots of natural light. The hostel offers beds in mixed dorm rooms and double rooms, all with individual lockers or storage space. Most rooms feature access to shared bathroom facilities, while there is the option of a double room with a private bathroom. Some rooms feature a balcony and a view. The communal kitchen has all necessary cooking facilities, including oven, stove, toaster and cutlery. Guests can enjoy their meals on the property’s dining area. Several local restaurants serving the region’s traditional seafood-based dishes are available within 500 metres from the property. The modern and antique furnishings are enhanced by the overall lemon theme of the hostel. The hostel has Crazy Lemon graffiti at the entrance. The communal lounge includes dining table, chairs, sofas and an open fireplace. Here guests can go online with the free WiFi or read a book from the Ljmonade’s library. The Cascais city centre is a 4-minute walk and features many bars and cafés. The Cascais Marina is a 3-minute drive and also has a lively nighttime atmosphere. It is a 4-minute walk to a hippodrome where horse riding can be arranged, at an extra fee. The local beaches are a 5-minute drive away and feature many activities for guests, such as diving, fishing, surfing and windsurfing. Lisbon is 25 minutes by car and the Lisbon airport is a 32-minute drive away from the Ljmonade.

The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"
