"Good exces and free parking when you visit Obidos. Big rooms."

"This easy to get too hotel with plenty of free parking is in a great location with perfect views of the castle. Stayed 5 nights and being off-season we were lucky to be upgraded to a 2nd floor room with the best views of the castle. The spa facilities ( pool, sauna Turkish bath) very clean , well maintained. The hotel has a very good breakfast with attentive staff, both in the restaurant and reception. Be prepared to enjoy the company of the black cat, as he is part host and part guest when he sneaks in for breakfast in the mornings."
"Surprised that a 4 star hotel didn't have a simple coffee maker in the room. especially on the 2nd floor, when you can sit on the terrace enjoying the views."

"Very nice place. Very quiet, in the middle of horses. It was so nice to sit on the veranda and soak in the atmosphere. The veranda is also very nicely sheltered from the wind."

"Cosy room.in a traditional old farm building. The table by the swimming pool had a fabulous vista down the valley to Vizela and beyond; perfect for watching the sunset directly ahead whilst bats fly around and sipping the delicious wine made by the family. We regret not bringing some home! The owner went the extra mile for us, for example taking our laundry and ironing even in the middle of a heatwave"

The rooms are just OK—clean and comfortable but little charm. Would definitely stay here again. Happily accomodated our bicycles in a secure room. Overall—super, just super!"
