"Joy Source Resort is a unique place to stay not far from Kathmandu, where I ate fresh home-grown food, stayed in a big, comfortable room and enjoyed a beautiful scenery that surrounded me. It is the people who makes the place, though. They are kind and welcoming and make the place even more special. The school that is funded by the community project is incredible and is an example of what hard work and good ideas can create. I will always remember my stay and hope to return some day."

"We stayed in a lovely chalet that had everything we needed. Cozy, clean, with all the essentials (hot water, towels, tea, drinking water) — it was clear that everything was prepared for us with care. And of course, the view of the valley and mountains was breathtaking, with the city lights sparkling below at night. You can enjoy tea while sitting in comfortable chairs looking at the mountains, or go for a walk in the company of cheerful dogs. A special thank you for the wonderful food - delicious momos and kombucha, breakfast with homemade bread, jam and strong coffee - simply perfect. The place itself feels like a whole community. There is even a school here where children, including girls, are taught for free an amazing and very important mission. Kundun’s family are kind and genuine people, and you can feel it from the very first meeting. Wishing you prosperity and all the best, thank you for everything!"

"Absolutely amazing stay AAA+++ Exceeded my expectations. I wanted to stay close to Kathmandu but also get out of the dusty & busy city! And it was perfect. Far enough away but not too much travel time. As soon as you arrive, you are warmly welcomed like family 💗 I wanted some R&R from travelling and peace and a place to heal - this was perfect. The service and the food and the accommodation was all OUTSTANDING! I was a little sick during my stay and they cared so well for me, amazing!! Such an interesting place with many giving projects that serve the community and beyond. My cabin had majestic views of the valley and even the Himalayas and Everest!! The sunrises were spectacular. The beds are super comfy and my cabin was very spacious and cute and private. It's really great value for money. The owners and ALL of the staff are so lovely and interesting to talk to. Highly recommend a stay here - it's worth the trip from Kathmandu."

"It was an incredible beyond any expectations experience !! My sons and I were welcomed like family into the community from the first day. We highly recommend this resort as a place to rest for a while, for those who truly wish to connect spiritually and experience what loving community in action means. Our every need was taken care of with kindness and respect and ease. This is a very special, unique place for nature lovers, artists, spiritual seekers and conscious eco friendly travellers. The food is grown in their organic vegetable gardens, the milk we drank was fresh from the cows and the people who run the resort are an extraordinary family. I cannot recommend this place more for those travellers who are seeking the real Nepal, the real spirituality and the real food. Thank you Joy resort, the name says it all !! We will be back every year if we can !!! An inspiration for us all !!"

"I loved everything about Joy Source - the delicious organic food, the stunning views, the birdsong, the atelier, the peace, the spirituality and the beautifully designed accommodation. However what really made this place so special were the people in the community. They are some of the kindest most loving people I have ever met. Everything here is done with love, consideration and care for the community, the guests and the environment. I left feeling so loved and supported and will be returning. If you are looking for tranquility, space, joy and the freedom to connect with yourself in a supportive non-judgemental environment Joy Source will be your haven."

"This is just the most incredible place. Words can’t even really describe how wonderful is the team, the place, the food, everything! I was greeted so warmly. The room was gorgeous, the most comfortable bed ever, a real peaceful haven away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The place is set perfectly up in the hills a short bus ride or about 40 minutes hike up from Pharping. The chef cooks absolutely delicious food, all locally grown, fresh, with real care and attention to every detail. They are doing fantastic work to support the community with building and sustaining a local school serving the whole village. A really beautiful space, I would so strongly recommend to everyone to visit and experience the kindness, hospitality and care that these beautiful humans are radiating!! I hope I can return again soon!!"

"Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Kundun nahm sich sehr viel Zeit um mit uns Gespräche zu führen. 😊 der Garten war wundervoll, auch das Essen und es fehlte uns an nichts. Wir bekamen eine Heizmatratze die half sehr. :) ausserdem bekamen wir beim zweiten mal eindach ein Zimmerupgrade erhalten. Und die Besichtigung der Schule war ein sehr besonderes Erlebnks!"

"Потрясающее место. Для того, чтобы отдохнуть после треккинга или суетливого города, лучше места не найти. Хозяйка потрясающая. Еда вкуснейшая. Во время прогулки в окрестностях отличные виды. Утром открывается вид на Гималайский хребет. Уезжать не хотелось."
