"The stairs are extremely steep as mentioned previously. We managed to deal with it okay, but if you struggle with stairs in general then I would advise against it. There are stairs at the entrance too. Our room was very small, but we were happy with it. I would stay there again and I was very happy overall. Just wanted to mention the above in case of people with disabilities wanting to book."

"I guess I was given a room bigger than the one I booked. And it was quite big, especially for one person. The room was basically equipped and farily clean."

"I liked the location, great access to the city, metro and tram links. Great place to stay if you know you're going to be out all day and need a cosy place to get back to. The bed was comfy and the staff were welcoming and friendly."

"Our room was at the front of the hotel and there are tramlines right outside so sometimes it was a little noisy but you're in a city so what do you expect!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here! The location is perfect — very close to the metro station and also just a short walk to the city center. It’s super convenient for getting around Amsterdam. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. The hotel has a young and positive vibe."

"The only small downside is the stairs — they are quite steep, but that’s typical for old Amsterdam buildings, so it’s completely fine. Just keep in mind that it might be a bit hard if you have a large suitcase. The staff kindly offered to help carry our luggage to the room, but we only had a small one, so we didn’t need it."

"The location is really great, 10-20min walk to anything, super safe neighbourhood. The room and bathroom were simple and clean, no complaints. Many people complained about the stairs - it's true, they're very narrow, but accessible unless you have mobility issues (no elevator). Honestly, we found the unique structure of the building quite charming. There was a coffee machine and I think a microwave on the ground floor - we didn't really stay for breakfast, so I'm not sure if those would have been offered to us or if they came with an extra charge. We only stayed one night, so I can't speak for cleaning/room service. We booked for 2 and got a room with 5 single beds - not an issue for us, but maybe you'd need to place a special request to get a double bed for a couple."
