"The Rose dale Guest Inn is truly a very beautiful homestay. The owners are incredibly nice and it has a very family-like atmosphere. It is well-located and you can actually reach everything quite easily on foot. The breakfast was amazing and they accommodated every special request I had. They helped me with every question I had and there was warm water and WiFi. They are creating a familial connection. The daughter took care of everything, communicating via WhatsApp and was always available for questions."

"The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were the only guests and were offered the breakfast at $US10 each. We took up the offer, and it was way too much for us. We are started off with a large tray of fresh fruits, French toast with local honey, tea, coffee, local curry and numerous cakes. We were offered eggs but declined as we could not eat any more food. The hotel also offered a fast laundry service for 3,000 LKR for 3kg which was well worth it."

"Every part of the experience at Blue Mountains View is considered and completed beautifully. We loved that the property was out of town, calm, quiet and relaxing. Pradeep, his family, and crew are kind, warm and welcoming people. The food was delicious and the hospitality first class. Pradeep helped organise all transport and activities and ensured we had a safe and comfortable journey wherever we were headed."

"Our recent stay at Volunteer Ceylon was very nice. Our host welcomed us with warm hospitality, he was very friendly, always ready to assist with any requests, and offered great insights and recommendations for local attractions and activities. He also helped us organize a tour in and around Ratnapura. The accommodations were comfortable and clean. The rooms were spacious and equipped with AC and a balcony to make the stay very pleasant. Moreover, the location of Volunteer Ceylon is perfect for both relaxation and exploration. It is located a bit up the hill and therefore it is quiet but in walking distance to Ratnapura Main Street. Overall, my experience at Volunteer Ceylon was fantastic."

"This was easily the best place we stayed during our two-week trip, with several others to compare. From the street, you would not expect much, but once inside, it is completely different. The property is very large and feels more like a private park. There is a lot of greenery, large old trees, and a big pond with an island in the middle. The houses, designed by Geoffrey Bawa, are highlights of the place. The one we stayed at was practically an art gallery, blowing our minds away at first and impressing us the whole stay. Wildlife is part of the experience, birds and monkeys, so it really feels separated from the city outside, even though it is right there behind the walls. The staff were very attentive and handled everything (breakfast, transport, and showing the place). If needed, they were always available, literally just a bell away. Overall, a very memorable place and probably the closest to “perfect” we have experienced."
