"Great location on the quiet side of the beach. Only a 5-10 minute walk away from the busier side of town but this makes the difference at night. The staff are very helpful and kind. This is my 2nd time staying and the tree huts are very comfortable and a great base in Arugam Bay."

"The location is perfect and we had a big family room. Its got a really lovely vibe, the food is good and very cheap. It all very basic but that is what you are paying for. I would recommend this hotel"

"Great location, very nice scenic garden and surrounding of the hotel. The staff is friendly, food (we had breakfast and lunch) was good. Cool vibe"

"The bathroom had a bit of a funky smell and the beds wheren't all to good. We had the family room, which is on the top floor and has a fantastic view but no airconditioning (3 fans) ."

"Very good location, near to the beach. We stayed in the family room up in the 2nd floor of a building, not in the treehouses. It had an own bathroom and air conditioning and plenty of beds. The staff was also great, very nice and helpful guys."

"The hut was located directly at the beach front, which is the huts main plus. Staff is friendly and helpful, good food at the restaurant."

"The shower was a little run down and the mattresses were not very comfortable. Even though staff is eager to keep the property clean, there are dogs urinating and defecating in the yard around the hut."

"This was the best accommodation I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. The treehouses are lovely and the whole place is beautifully decorated. You can tell the owner and everyone working there put a lot of effort into creating a true oasis."

"Great location right on the beach. Rustic accomodation, perfect for the location. Outside showers whilst listening to the crashing waves!"

"Clean, Comfortable, and Family-Friendly – Just Like Our Own Home Our stay at Honey Tree Polonnaruwa was wonderful! The pool was crystal clear and even had a safe area for small children. With only six rooms, the atmosphere was quiet and private — perhaps the only hotel in Polonnaruwa with a pool for such a small number of guests. The rooms were very comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Excellent value for money!"

"The outside scenery of the palm trees, pool and garden was really pleasant. The location was right next to the beach, although it is one only appropriate for kite surfing, but not if you want to simply relax and sunbathe on the beach. The staff were very helpful and friendly, always smiling and attentive to all our needs, never hesitated once to help us when we needed them. The food was also very good, slightly overpriced for some dishes, but very well cooked, no complaints."
