"The location of the house was right in front of Kirkjufell. We woke up every morning to an amazing view of the mountain and fell asleep to the sights of the northern lights. What an amazing stay. Eva and Kolla the hosts were very responsive and equipped their house in the most considerate manner."

"The apartment was spotlessly clean and had all the things we needed, there was a good selection of pots and pans for cooking and the beds and bedding were comfortable. There was a washing machine and dryer available in a laundry room which was really handy. The location was great, perfect for trips to Husavik, Akureyri and Myvatn and the swimming baths down the road are excellent and there were lovely views from the apartment. If you need to be back to Akureyri for the airport I would recommend keeping an eye on the weather if you're there like we were in winter, I noticed snow gates on the road so if the weather is bad they must close it, it does go over a substantial set of hills. No problems when we visited though."
