The staff were friendly and helpful from the very first moment, always available without ever being intrusive. My room was bright, spacious, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The location is excellent: easy to get around, close to the main points of interest, and well connected by public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel."

"The property has a natural look/ design - which I loved - simple but with everything you need. The bed was especially comfortable. And we were right on the beach so slept to the sound of the sea and woke up to drink our morning coffee looking out to the sea. Really comfy beach beds and great service for food and drinks. The staff so friendly and welcoming - a great atmosphere- peaceful, spacious, tranquil. You can walk along the beach to other bars or restaurants with a much more hectic vibe- it always felt like a blessing to return to Happy Corner. We felt very lucky to have found such a place- a slice of paradise!"

"Our self catering apartment was in a good location. Places to eat are near by. Facilities were basic but adequate for our stay. Towels were lovely and soft, the room was clean, the shower was good and the a/c was efficient. The staff at reception were very friendly."

Pillows a bit lumpy but we still got a good night's sleep.

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. I usually wouldn't stay in anything with a shared toilet & bathroom but it was fine & very clean.

"Our booking was made very late and despite this we were so warmly welcomed. There was beautiful Cape Verdean music being played when we arrived by two incredible musicians which was lovely. And the breakfast in the morning was delicious. The fresh mango juice was particularly mouthwatering!"
