"An absolutely phenomenal experience that went far beyond a normal hotel stay. I cannot praise this hotel enough, and most importantly, I cannot thank the hotel manager, Mr. Nurlan, enough for what he did for us. Mr. Nurlan was incredibly supportive and helpful in every possible way — not only inside the hotel, but even outside the hotel, assisting us with arrangements, guidance, and personal support that went far beyond his duties. His dedication, generosity, and genuine care are truly rare to find. Thanks to him, our stay was smooth, comfortable, and unforgettable. He turned our visit to Gabala into a perfect experience and set a new standard for what true hospitality means. This hotel is outstanding, but Mr. Nurlan is its greatest asset. "We know Zahara very well and this is the second time that we have stayed at the Playa de la Plata. We loved our apartment, which was bright , modern and well furnished . The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the whole complex is kept spotlessly clean. A very enjoyable stay - thank you!"

"The location is great -- just 5 minutes to the beach and close to the main cafés and restaurants. The apartment is a good size and has a blackout system, so you don’t get sunlight coming in. The hotel also has two of the best restaurants in town -- Bottega and Plaza -- and they are fantastic."

I was not provided with a tea kettle or a hair dryer, as listed in the room description. Also, you can hear people walking to their rooms and staff talking while cleaning.

"Wonderful location in the woods on zop of Sljeme (mountain). Getting on in years but clean and very spacy room! Nice and helpfull staff."

"The pool was necessary but a little dirty. The ac is effective and the hot water is too. You cant ask to much of hospitality businesses in this part of west africa but this place exceeded them. This place is great for overlanders"

Its definitely more of a "hang out" hotel for locals to come swim or watch football. It will probably be a little rowdy on some weekends. The staff seemed a little confused how to handle overnight guests.

"Wangdue Eco Lodge is a lovely place tucked high above the Dzong, with amazing views from the room that really make the stay special. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout. Dinner and breakfast were simple but perfectly adequate. The rooms are very spacious, though they could benefit from a few extra touches to make them feel cosier, as they felt a little empty. Overall, a pleasant stay with beautiful views and a peaceful setting."

"The rooms were large and clean, the location was very convenient. There was a gas station nearby, so you could buy things at any time. The restaurant downstairs had very tasty meals. Don't forget to try the pizzas! The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though it was close to the highway, you couldn't hear any car noises."
