Nothing really. However, it would be great if the property had a loundry machine, it gets tricky without one for longer stays with family. Internet connection would be great addition as well.

"Boendet ligger i Regent som ligger lite högre upp i bergen jämfört med Freetown. Det gör att det är lite svalare och inte så tryckande värme som nere i stan. Det är visserligen en bit att köra om man ska in i centrum, men samtidigt är det inte så mycket bilköer som inne i stan. Värdarna tog hand om oss på ett bra sätt och huset vi hyrde hade rätt bra standard. Hög standard för att vara i Sierra Leone."

Communication with Carole had been excellent in the weeks prior to our holiday and when we did arrive she was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gite is spacious and spotlessly clean and the kitchen has all that is needed to prepare meals. The beds are very comfortable, the showers in both the modern bathrooms are excellent and, although we did not make use of it, the swimming pool is in a lovely garden setting. The gite is conveniently located in a quiet residential area, only about 300m from a well-stocked supermarket and bakery. We would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for having us, Carole and Gilles!"

"It was so well equipped for our family. The small pool was great for my 3 year old. We had our own private entrance, patio and outdoor sitting area. It felt safe and provided a restful place for us to call home for 5 days. Many beaches nearby, one within walking distance."

There are tons of mosquitos and tiny ants. This was observed elsewhere on the island that we stayed too and is not particular of this property. Be prepared with your own insect repellent.

Communication with Carole had been excellent in the weeks prior to our holiday and when we did arrive she was so helpful and made us feel very welcome. The gite is spacious and spotlessly clean and the kitchen has all that is needed to prepare meals. The beds are very comfortable, the showers in both the modern bathrooms are excellent and, although we did not make use of it, the swimming pool is in a lovely garden setting. The gite is conveniently located in a quiet residential area, only about 300m from a well-stocked supermarket and bakery. We would absolutely recommend staying here. Thank you for having us, Carole and Gilles!"

"We loved the view from our shady balcony, the beautiful nearby beach, the comfortable king size bed, and the modern kitchen. Our hostess Michela was so helpful. She met us at the airport car rental. We followed her to a grocery store and she waited while we did our shopping. Then we followed her to the cottage and she helped us with our luggage."

The air conditioning is only in the bedroom so the rest of the cottage could be uncomfortably hot. The walkway is uneven and a trip hazard. Several deckboards on the way down need to be replaced. No handrails on some stairs. Galley Bay beach is beautiful, but sometimes rough. A car is needed for travel to calmer beaches on some days.

I liked everything about it but if I could add one thing A/C in the top bedroom would be nice! There were fans though!

"We had a very spacious appartment. The location is amazing you can walk everywhere and start cross country skiing right at the appartment. For us it was a very nice stay and we would come again!"

Overall the appartment came into the years a little bit. Some lights were not working so well for example, the sauna was hard to get very hot and the fan in the bathroom did not work. We did not mind very much but maybe there should be some maintenance works done in the nearer future.

"This was a great house with all the facilities we needed for a 5 night stay. We were a group of 9 which is probably the maximum this house can take, the sofa bed wasn’t the most comfortable but was fine for our shorter trip. Everything worked really well and the hotel this villa is connected to had great facilities like a sauna and hottib which were free to use. The host was great, the location for this villa is slightly incorrect on this site as it was a bit further out than we expected but the host was helpful in getting us transport everymoring to the ski centers."

"The whole team was very friendly and helpful for anything you needed. In particular Darin was such a great support and important in Thailand, she speaks good English. The villas are beautiful, taken care with love and good taste. There is all you need equiped, very useful with even a washing machine. There are great restaurants in a short driving distance. To walk around the lake next to the resort was our daily routine, save and clean."

I would say it is definately beneficial to have either a own car or rent a motorbike. It is possilbe to walk for sure, but the distances to beach, restaurants, 711... were a bid further than expected.

"Very cozy and nice house, even with a balcony (rare in Faroes). We felt like at home. Clean, very well equipped kitchen and even laundry machines you can use. There is a great café, some hikes and a beach nearby."

Two small single beds instead of a double bed, which some may prefer.
