Would love to come back again when the lake is less full and the beach is more accessible. El Remate is a gem and so nice to stay here rather than transiting back to flores after visiting tikal and before moving eastward to Belize."

"The hostel is a little oasis on the lake and I just fell in love with the location and what they made out of it. The hostel itself is so cute and pittoresque. The staff is very friendly and chill. Riccardo was so nice as to find me a last minute solution for my accommodation there in the Semana Santa (everything was completely full!). Plus, they have very comfy beds and atmosphere. Very recommended"

"One/two bathrooms for all the dorms and rooms is always a bit of an issue I think."

"Fue muy tranquilo. El cuarto tiene un espejo grande para ver los outfits antes de salir jaja, también tiene una vista bonita, la cocina es compartida, y el chico que nos atendió fue muy amable. No hay agua caliente en el baño es lo único que cambiaría y sería bueno poner una lamparita en la habitación. Hay un muelle super cerca para ir a nadar al lago."
