"David and Eliane made us feel very welcome despite our late arrival. Our room was very comfortable with impeccable views over the beautiful countryside and in the morning, a great continental breakfast. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you both for a lovely stay."

"The rooms are up two flights of stairs. Had I realised, I would have packed one small bag with essentials for the night rather than lugging two great suitcases. Next time I will make sure that I am better prepared and will certainly not let this deter me from returning."

"Very pleasant stay in the historic village of Carlux. Comfortable room and nice friendly bar with good food. Made very welcome by the hosts."

"Ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale. Les petits déjeuners sont servi en terrasse ce qui est bien agréable pour débuter la journée. La chambre est décorée avec soin tout comme la salle de bain (le petit plus le gel douche mis à disposition). Une bouilloire est également disponible dans la chambre. Nous avons choisi Carlux car permet d'aller facilement sur Sarlat, Souillac ou la Roque Gageac par exemple. Il est très agréable, le soir après une journée de visite, de boire un cocktail avec ou sans alcool et de se mélanger aux habitants du village."

"Bel appartement confortable, meublé avec goût. Très agréable. Si certains peuvent se plaindre du manque de lumière à cause des petites fenêtres sous le toit, la vue est magnifique et l'ambiance très cosy. Le propriétaire est de plus très flexible et extrêmement sympathique."

"Fantastic Gite walking distance to Lac L'homme, which has inflatables, paddle boards etc to hire, a lovely beach and restaurant. The Gite is great value for money, lovely old farm building with a pretty garden. Flexible accomodation. We have 4 children ranging 7 to 17 and it worked perfectly. Lots to see and do close by including a great tree top experience in Rille. Samaur is 40 mins away and is a pretty medieval town on the Loire river. Lots to do here and a great selection of restaurants."

"The hotel manager, Nadia, who was a true professional. Nothing was too much. She provided a high standard of service. On arrival, she told us a little about the history of the Chateau and treated us to a cocktail on the house. The room was Spanish themed, well designed and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was to die for.. double basins and a spectacular shower. Lovely grounds with a swimming pool. Also the opportunity to take a short walk through woodland."

"Location was booked as the family were attending a wedding at the local chateau. 6 couples , Laurent the owner couldn’t have been more helpful and we all thank him for his help, family all arrived at different times & from different countries UK & USA. Location is remote and you do need a car, but beautiful."

"Perfect location. The fact it was literally on the roof and 5 storeys above the street meant there was very little noise and great views in all directions. It’s right in the old town and an easy walk to most sights. The apartment is beautifully decorated and equipped with everything I needed to feel at home. The host was welcoming and informative."
