Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, bars etc. Our obliging host arranged a trip down stream to the beach on the public boat, which picked us up at our landing. On site parking a bonus."

"The owner was very nice. He made sure that we’re ok and even offered us some food and wine because he was worried that we were hungry😁 It’s good place to stay if you’re interested more in exploring the city and looking for accommodation just to sleep and rest. Nothing more nothing less."

Choose this place only if you have car or love to hike. Unfortunately, we didn’t check and it turned out that to come to this place you need to go up all the time, which is like 3 km. We didn’t have car so we walk there. Of course it’s just our oversight, but i wish it would be written in the description. Nevertheless the views were stunning.

"The home is in great shape and is easily accessible. Check-in and check-out was well laid out in advance. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook meals and store drinks during our stay. Having the AC in the room was a life-saver!"

Some basic kitchen amenities like paper towels and trash bags were not provided or incorrectly sized. Trash bins (inside and outside) were sometimes over-full due to the nature of the shared space.

We booked our hiking tour to Petra thru Dana Village Lodge , Ramzi and Hamza take care of everything and organise your entire holiday for you. I would highly recommend staying here and going on tour with Hamza and Camel and all the locals there. They are such amazing, generous, and thoughtful people"

"Great welcome, the owner Pao was very attentive to my needs, brought me to breakfast in town every morning, his wife cooking me food for lunch and/or supper. I was by myself but didn’t feel alone having the family around, and Pao included me in his evenings with his friends. I had my own room with mattress on the ground firm but I find comfortable with a mosquito net. Shared bathroom but very clean toilet. Shower with the bucket with cold water - but invigorating and makes the experience authentic ! Nice setting with greenery. Hammocks to relax."

No WiFi available unfortunately, but I had my own SIM card with lots of gigabytes so it didn’t bother me to use my 5G. Roosters singing in the evening or early in the morning - but you get used to it / or put earplugs and it’s fine! Again it makes you feel in the countryside so it’s part of the experience!

"Beautiful setting amongst lush vegetation. Fantastic rooms and bungalows with a wooden construction and lovingly updated for tourism. Lovely place to relax and unwind. Quiet location, but either a 10-15minute walk to Chethy beach, which is huge and deserted or a 5 minute tuk-tuk ride to Marari beach where there are more snack shacks and facilities."

Would have liked a kettle to make tea/coffee and a fridge, but don’t let that minor detail put you off…it’s beautiful.

"There was nothing to really "like" - nothing standing out - IMHO room facilities, decoration, bathroom and bedding where merely acceptable."

The owner's agony on low power consumption is obvious. 1) the fuse controling TV & AirConditioner was off - had to do a bit of troubleshooting in order to get the TV operational 2) lighting in the room extremely low 3) stove required ~45 minutes to prepare one cup of coffee. The road to get to the property is suitable for one way traffic. If you crossed with another vehicle one of the two would have to reverse. Pet friendliness was limited to the owner's pets and was not extended to the guests' pets. The owner resented the fact that I traveled with my pet noticing that I should have informed up-front.
